Did You Know?
12 million women are effected by depression every year in America. Women between the ages of 25 - 44 are the most likely to be effected. It probably comes at no surprise that social factors have been named as one of the leading causes of depression in women. It is for that reason A Time for Her was birthed. It is our mission to confront the daily expectations and stresses women face and direct them to a healthier space to thrive.

Depression in women is misdiagnosed approximately 30 to 50 percent of the time.

About one in every eight women can expect to develop clinical depression during their lifetime.

Women experience depression at roughly twice the rate of men.
We believe in You!
The purpose of A Time for Her is to improve mental health in women ages 18-45. A Time for Her accomplishes this by addressing the need for complete wellness through social engagement, empowerment and education in culturally relevant environments. As a program offered by Dreamwhere, we are committed to wellness and wholeness for all women desiring to influence and impact the world.
ACCORDING TO THE U.S. Department of Health & Human Services | OASH
More than 1 in 5 women in the United States experienced a mental health condition in the past year, such as depression or anxiety
Women are also more likely to have mental health conditions that are made worse by stress, such as depression or anxiety.
Women are more likely than men to have an anxiety disorder, including post-traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, or obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Research suggests that women may feel the symptoms of stress more or get more of the symptoms of stress than men as a result of how women's bodies process stress hormones.
